7 Best Campfire Audio Stories Collection #1

Here I present you 7 horror stories hand picked from my personal favorites, these are the ones I love to listen to over and over. Some are radio theaters, some are dramatic readings. In this campfire stories series I'm going to include all mystery tales - horror, detective, thriller, etc - and all are the ones I believe as proper enough (not so disturbing, at least in my standard) good fit as a cozy listening in your comfy rainy night, just like the blog's tag: "Cases, coffee, & cats"!

A boy and his friend Matt only saw each other in the summer at the campground. They would venture to the ends of the campground and play the ‘Dare Game’. One day, they came upon an abandoned log cabin deep in the woods. “I dare you to go knock on the door."

A father, in an effort to ensure his young son always remembers not to give out his personal information to strangers on online chatrooms, tells his child one of his patented "scary stories." When the cautionary tale takes an incredibly dark and unnerving turn at its conclusion, it leaves our protagonist's kid decidedly scared, but not for the reasons that you would think.

A 5-year-old girl raised by her drug-addled mother had her doll, Betsy, as her only “friend”. Under the influence of the opium smoke always present in their home, the girl begins to believe that Betsy is speaking to her, even interacting with her – including telling her to do things that always seem to get her in trouble. One day, when her drug-addict mother refuses to throw her a birthday party to help her impress the popular girls in her class, the 5-year-old girl snaps and takes it out on her imaginary friend. Shortly after, her mother is arrested for possession of drugs. Later, as an adult, the girl finally decides to speak to her mother again, for the first time since the arrest, and discovers that there was more to the arrest than drugs.  Much more.
